He was selected by the team as an Outfielder for the Texas League mid-season All-Star Game, where he registered four hits in five at-bats while driving in a run.

On July 6, 2016, the senior team promoted him from there to the Class AAA Memphis Redbirds. Baseball America’s updated 2016 mid-season rankings placed him in the 89th spot out of the top 100. In 131 games between Memphis and Springfield, Bader batted a combined.267 with 19 home runs and 58 RBIs to conclude the 2016 campaign.
