She spoke for the first time following the campaign in August 2019, and she was successful in overturning the gag order. She was Tasmania’s first female sexual assault survivor to obtain a court order permitting her to speak about the assault.

In October 2019, the Act was updated to allow sexual assault survivors to speak out more openly, and Archer added, “That word relationship carries Connotations of permission.” In April 2020, the law was changed to allow Tasmanian survivors to speak out.

Tame has become a public figure, working to raise awareness about kidnapping and psychological manipulation, as well as to decrease the societal shame associated with sexual assault. Grace has collaborated with the Los Angeles Human Trafficking Task Force and advocated for education as a key component in avoiding child sexual abuse. She also wants to eliminate victim blaming and normalize public speaking. On March 15, 2021, she will organize the Women’s March 5 Justice event in Hobart.

Grace was the first non-celebrity to appear on Marie Clarie magazine’s cover. She was also named to TIME Magazine’s list of Next Generation Leaders.
